‘Taste your Land’ Festival in the John Paul II Foundation – Bethlehem 20 – 22.12.2012

Reserve the dates of 20 – 22 of December 2012 for ‘Taste your Land’ Festival in the John Paul II Foundation in Bethlehem. The celebrations on the ground of the foundation will feature beautiful Christmas songs, carols performances, great concerts, and more! The festival will focus on appreciation for traditional products from Bethlehem like taboon bread, olive oil and wine and will let everyone ‘taste the land’ of Bethlehem, the Land of the Nativity – Capital of Christmas – the homeland of Jesus Christ.

  • 1 pm – ‘Children without Borders’ gathering on the Manger Square for the annual March for Unity and Peace with a great surprise on this year’s march – come & see it!
  • 1:30 pm – ‘Children Without Borders’ – 5th March for Unity and Peace through the streets of Bethlehem to the grounds of the John Paul II Foundation
  • 3:30 pm – A Play for children by Inad Theatre, entitled ‘Christmas Clowns’
  • 6 pm – Solemn opening of the ‘Taste your Land’ festival by Father Ibrahem Faltas, musical concerts of George Thalgieh & Youb Shahin
  • 7 – 8 pm – Beautiful solo performances (M. Murra, L. Atwwan, M. Kharoufeh) and choirs – ‘Choir of the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation’
  • 8 – 10 pm – Continuation of George Thalgieh & Youb Shahin’s musical perfomances

  • 2 pm – Opening of the gates of the John Paul II Foundation – Welcome everyone to ‘Taste your Land’
  • 4 – 5 pm – Choir of St. Catherine and Bethlehem Academy of Music
  • 5 – 5:30 pm – Choir of Virgin Mary Syriac Orthodox Church
  • 5:30 – 6 pm – Christmas Bethlehem Choir
  • 6:30 pm – Christmas message from the famous Lebanese Icon & Angelic Voice Magda Roumi
  • 7 – 8 pm – Greek Catholic Melkite Choir
  • 8 pm – Solo concert of Louna Amin from Bethlehem

22/12/2012

  • 12 pm – Opening of the gates of the John Paul II Foundation – Welcome everyone to ‘Taste your Land’
  • 3 pm – Christmas message from the famous Lebanese Icon & Angelic Voice Magda Roumi
  • 4 pm – Concert of Famous Palestinian Voice Amal Morkos followed by honoring many important personas who has served Bethlehem; Results of the “Christmas Contests” – Best 100 words and best artwork.
  • 10 pm – Closing of the event
